This project builds off prior work conducted for the Science Center Public Forums project (NA15SEC008005) where eight forums were held at different sites across the US related to four climate hazards (drought, sea level rise, extreme heat, and extreme precipitation).
Our Year 3 formative evaluation of Go Botany, a four-year NSF-funded project focused on botanical learning, centered on tracking the continued development and the launch of the Go Botany Simple Key, which contains botanical data on more than 1200 native plants in the New England region. Communicating Climate Change (C3) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded project to foster innovative partnerships between research centers, the media, and science centers. David Heil & Associates, Inc. (DHA) is providing front-end, formative, and summative evaluation for the project. This report summarizes findings from Year 1 audience research that explored visitor attitudes towards climate change and interest in climate change-related programs and activities.
