SCIENCE TALK ’24 is being planned as a hybrid conference to take place both in-person in Portland, Oregon, and with real-time, online participation for speakers and attendees also available.

  • Virtual (live-streamed) presentations will take place between April 3 and April 9. Precise dates and times will be based on presenter availability. All attendees will have access to virtual presentations.
  • In-person presentations will take place in Portland, OR on Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12 at the Tiffany Center. In-person keynotes, panels, and short talk sessions will also be live-streamed out so virtual attendees can still participate.

From freelance photography to classroom STEM teachers, the Association for Science Communicators (ASC) are a group of wildly different professionals all passionate about communicating science to a wide range of audiences. Whether you’re leading interactive nature walks for elementary school kids, writing science articles for magazines, blogging for museums, speaking about science to elected officials, posting TikToks, or working in academia, ASC wants to learn from you!

As an organization, the Association for Science Communicators is committed to getting the word out about the field of science communications and making it more accessible. We are dedicated to opening more doors for more people doing this invaluable work each day and Science Talk ‘24 is where it all happens.
