Remembering David Lustick

It is with great sadness that CAISE notes and mourns the passing of Dr. David Lustick this summer. David was an Associate Professor of Science Education at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, a 2015 White House Champion of Change awardee and a long-time National Science Foundation Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program Principal Investigator. David’s pioneering work to bring science awareness and learning into the public sphere with his colleagues via their Cool Science and Science on the Go projects achieved impressive impact and had wide recognition throughout Massachusetts and the national informal STEM education community. David was a renaissance person with many talents and his colleagues and community will miss him. Information about where to send condolences is in his obituary in his hometown Watertown, NY newspaper
