Botany In Action Fellowship Opportunity

Do you know a current graduate student in the plant sciences who is interested in helping the public learn more about botany? PhD students conducting plant-based research are invited to apply for the 2014 Botany in Action Fellowship at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, PA.

Fellows receive:

  • $5,000 to use toward research-related expenses at sites in the US or abroad
  • An all-expenses-paid trip to Phipps to engage in science outreach training and communication of research to non-scientific public audiences
  • Future opportunities to connect research with the public through programs, exhibits, and other outreach venues
