2021 Conference Session: Beyond Docents: Developing a Program Model for High School Science Research, Communication, and Education Experiences

May 1, 2021 | Informal/Formal Connections, Professional Development, Conferences, and Networks, Public Programs

The Museum of Science, Boston and Boston University received funding from the National Science Foundation to develop and implement a pilot program mentoring high school students in science research, communication, and education practices, through the lens of experimental psychology research. In this conference session, presenters shared strategies employed by the project team to shift the program to a virtual format in response to COVID, and reflected on emergent evaluation findings in response to the change.

This poster was presented at the 2021 American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting.
