Scientist Self-Appraisal Scale for AAAS

In 2015, AAAS (the American Association for the Advancement of Science) began a project to document and study public engagement with science. As part of this project, a series of scales is being developed to study scientists' experiences with doing public engagement and the short-term impact of those experiences. The second of these scales is ready for testing, and AAAS needs 300 scientists to help validate the scale by responding to the items at the link below.

This scale was designed for scientists who have done public engagement in the past year. AAAS is particularly interested in gathering data from scientists who are newer to public engagement with science and those who are seasoned public engagement contributors.

If you have participated in public engagement with science activities in the past year, please take 15 minutes to help validate the scale by answering the questions at the link below:

AAAS would especially appreciate your help with this survey by this Friday, October 21.

Feel free to send this link to those in your network who also do public engagement with science.
