Professional Bio

Carey Tisdal founded Tisdal Consulting in 2004 to offer visitor studies and interpretive planning services specifically to the museum community. The mission of Tisdal Consulting is support the design of exhibitions and programs that engage, enlighten, and empower learners in informal settings. Services include audience research; program and exhibit evaluation; interpretative planning; and evaluation training. To this she brings nearly 25 years of experience as an evaluator and instructional developer. She has a special interest in how teams of people with diverse expertise and perspectives use evaluation findings to inform decision-making, narrative strategies in exhibition design, learning in adult groups, and technology mediated learning.
